SOFIA INNOVATION CAMP

YOUR IDEAS FOR THE CITY'S FUTURE

The Challenges

Challenges are the main drivers of the Innovation Camp, as they feed the energy of all participants for exploring, reframing and formulating new ideas.

Energy Poverty

Over 40% of the Bulgarian population is not able to sufficinetly warm up their homes during the winter months. This is one of the main reasons behind the poor air quality in Sofia.

Transport & Mobility

In recent years, the number of cars in Sofia has been growing. In 2016 in the city there were 515 cars per 1000 people, while in Vienna the ratio was 370/1000 for the same year.

The Social Effect of Innovations

Nowadays we see that governments, businesses and people are increasingly pointing to varying forms of technology as a solution to some of the most pressing challenges modern society faces.

The Challenge Owners

These are the decision-makers involved in the resolution of the challenge in their organisation
